In 2010, my sister asked me to design her wedding invitation. I was hesitant at first, feeling uncertain about my abilities. But, with her encouragement, I decided to take on the challenge. And I am so glad I did. The finished product was a beautiful representation of their unique love story. That day, I learned that sometimes we just need someone to believe in us before we can believe in ourselves.
Remember when you were a kid and you did something special for your parents just to see the look on their faces?
Well, my sister and I used to surprise our parents with these amazing date nights and I was in charge of the design details. We'd turn our home into a Bed n' Breakfast, a movie theater, and even a fancy restaurant with a table set for two. Those childhood memories are some of my absolute favorites, and they're the reason I decided to start my own wedding stationery business.
When I decided to turn my hobby into a business I teamed up with my sister, who's a fantastic writer, and together we came up with - Ampersand Ink. I love the imagery of relationships and ink designs on paper, I think our clients will too.
